Six Things You Need To Know When Dressing Your Little Girl Like A Princess

Halloween is no longer about being afraid and haunting scary houses. Today, families use this special event to bond together and to show off their favorite dress up costumes. Children and adults alike like to play around and to pretend that they are someone else. Little boys like to pretend that they are the best soccer players in the world, a funny clown or a crown prince, while girls like to believe that they are star icons or dancing ballerinas. In whatever Halloween party you attend, there is one character that is surely present, the lovely princess.
Princess Dress Or Gown
If you are going to remake a Disney princess, don't ever go wrong with the color of the dress. Belle's gown is yellow and Princess Jasmine's sexy dress is blue. Then again, if you want to create a unique princess look for your child, play around different colors of fabric and check which one complements your child's skin tone. You can sew it yourself or you can visit the nearest tailor shop in your area. If you are on a tight budget, you can just look around your daughter's closet and check if she has a gown with tulle and everything. Whatever she wears, surely she'll look like a princess and you'll be one proud parent.
Shoes
A Princess's shoes are all about glamour. However, remember that the one wearing the shoes is just a child. Do not ask your child to wear two or three inches heels if you do not want your little girl to trip over. Remember that dressing is up is all about fun and surely you don't want your child complaining of a sore foot or blisters the day after. Browse online or visit your local shoe store and you can definitely spot a nice pair of princess shoe.
Hair Style
Princess hair styles are glamorous. You wouldn't see any princess with untidy lock. If you have observed, Disney princesses have different hairstyles. Snow white's hair is simple and short. Sleeping beauty's long locks is smooth and flowing. On the other hand, Princess Jasmine is sporting an elegant blue headband. Whatever hairstyles you use to your child make sure that the hair accessories matches the color of the dress.
Princess Make Up
Watch you tube and you'll see several videos of makeup artists demonstrating the easy steps to apply makeup. Children should be sporting a natural look. Avoid putting too much makeup if you don't want your little princess to be named as a drag queen. If you are going to apply makeup to your child, try to emphasize one feature. For example, if you have already emphasized the eyes, the lips should just be all natural. A small tint of lip gloss is enough.
Accessories
Princesses like to wear accessories. The most common accessories for a princess is a small tiara, a necklace and a fancy ring. Do not exaggerate the accessories. Wearing too many accessories will only look like your child is trying too much.
Fragrance
Princesses are high profile people. They are supposed to look good and to smell good. Avoid the funky smell by bathing your child before she wears her princess gown. You may apply sweet fragrances. However, do not apply too much.
If you wish to make your princess the star of the night, simply follow the things mentioned above. No need to make a perfect Cinderella or a perfect Snow White. Your little princess will thank you for a job well done. Enjoy the moment and have fun.
