Mothers day is set purposely to celebrate Mothers heroic role. Now, the fathers want to have their own day to celebrate fatherhood too. The question is, is this still worth celebrating? The answer is yes and no.

Fathers day is worth celebrating not only because a father is the male parent of an offspring, but also because dads deserve the same respect as that of mothers. The event is worth celebrating because dads are sentimental in nature and wants to celebrate the importance of their existence even for just a day. Yes, it is worth celebrating because dads hold an important role in the family.
A Big No!
And since no dad is perfect, you can't blame those who finds it disgusting to celebrate the event. "Fathers day" is not worth celebrating because some of the dads don't deserve to be respected. This is true for dads who find it natural to batter their children. It is not worth celebrating because some of the dads showed disrespect, selfishness, and never find time to care even to just show a slight concern for their children.
But despite all the flaws, the imperfections, the bad habits, dads still deserve to be respected-- even just in silence.
To celebrate fathers day, don't forget to give him your love, and respect. You want to surprise him but don't know how? There are many gifts to choose from. Give dads something worthwhile like fathers day gifts basket. Choose that which your dad loves the most. Not knowing what it is is not an excuse.
