It is amazing how well my dog and cat get along. They have always been together from a puppy and a kitten and they simply adore each other in every way possible. They spend their days together, play together and even snuggle up to go to sleep together. In order to celebrate their friendship, I decided to collect charms of dogs and cats. I also decided on specific types of charms so they most closely matched my pets, kind of a way to take along my pets with me.
In real life I have a little Yorkshire Terrier named Buffy and she is just too cute to believe. Since she is mostly a blue-gray color I decided to go with silver charms for her and gold charms for the big orange cat named Max. The mixture of the two different colors of charms on the bracelet will be great, plus I can wear any other jewelry with it as well.
Silver charms of little Yorkies were everywhere that I looked, which is perfect for adding to my bracelet and growing collection. I have Yorkshire Terriers doing all types of things included playing with a bone, sitting up to beg for a treat and just looking pretty.
To represent the cat Max there are a huge number of cat charms in all different styles and fashions. I have even ordered some from other countries through online sites, adding to the unique look for these gold charms on the bracelet.
Hissing cats, sleeping cats and even cats playing with string are all included in my collection. The cat charms, all in gold, really go well with the dog charms in silver, plus I have also added a few other pet toy types of charms.
Mixing the gold and silver charms together was a really good idea if I do say so myself. I haven't completely arranged them to be dog and cat in order, but there are lots of dog and cat charms right next to each other to emphasis their enjoyment of spending time together.
Toys and a few bones, balls of string and even a little miniature dog house are also scattered through the charms on the bracelet. I included these because they are things that they both enjoy, especially the toy charms when it is time to play.
I have been really surprised at how many people love my collection of dog and cat charms and stop to ask me about the bracelet. I guess not everyone is as luck to have two wonderful pets that can get along together so well living in their house.
