There is nothing more comfortable that sitting down and relax at home wearing a housecoat or a bathrobe. It is all about choosing your favorite book, putting your favorite movie or playing your iPod's favorite playlist and relaxing. Now, do all these things using the best, more comfortable, best looking and most affordable housecoats.
There are plenty of fabrics available when it comes to housecoats and bathrobes. That is the good thing about today's textile market; there are just so many fabrics to choose from. There are some fabrics that might be softer, and warmer, others can be more thin and cooler. There are hundreds of fabrics to choose from today. The following list will provide characteristics of some of the most famous fabrics for men housecoats and bathrobes.
Terrycloth or terry: This is the most luxury fabric there is for housecoats. It is very soft; probably the softer of all. Housecoats and bathrobes made out of terry fabric are often warmer and heavier. There is something to be careful about if you get a terrycloth housecoat, and it is that this fabric absorbs liquids very easily, so if think about using it after taking a shower, it is important that you are dry as it can damp due to humidity.
Bamboo coats: This is a very organic solution for those looking for a housecoat. Bamboo cotton is relatively new to the market. However, it has been found to be highly efficient and comfortable, as well as affordable. It is a lot more resistant than terrycloth; however it is not as soft as terry. This fabric is probably the one that absorbs the most. However it doesn't lock the damp and it lets humidity out to avoid ruining the piece. Plus, this is the most organic fabric there is. It is 100% environmentally friendly as fabricating it doesn't damage any elements of nature.
Microfiber: this is probably the more commercial fabric of all. It is the thinnest available as it is meant to work in warmest climates. It has some absorption issues, as it doesn't work well with moisture and so. It is also not recommended to be used after baths, as the fabric might be damaged by water. This is purely a housecoat material and not a bathrobe. It is the most affordable though.
There are plenty of places from which you can get your bathrobes and housecoats. There are hundreds of stores online that offer thousands of designs and materials variations. Remember that these three fabrics mentioned above are only the most common ones. There are some more you might like online. If you prefer buying your items in department stores in order to be able to feel them and touch them, it is a great idea as well.
Remember to always consider the climate in which you will be using your piece, as it might be very uncomfortable to use a warm coat in a warm area, or using a very thin bathrobe in a cold region. Always remember to be careful about absorption and moisture issues in fabrics like terrycloth and microfiber. The most important thing is that you take your time to choose what you like and feel right. After all this will help you relax.
