Do's and Don'ts of Men's Fashion

Gone are the days when men had to make serious, I mean literally serious, efforts to look acceptable, let alone good. The game of fashion has become so simple nowadays, that even a style idiot can, with some honest attempt and identifying the do's and don'ts of fashion, manage to look great. Looking stylish is no rocket science, however, whether you are style conscious or totally novice in the field, with a little know-how and a peek in the style world around you, getting grasp of it is extremely achievable. There are few basics that need to be kept straight to get hang of the trendy world.
Measurement
Fitting into skinny clothes may do some good to your mind; honestly, it does not help your looks. Feeling slim is one thing; being and looking is another. If you are a little on the chubbier side, select size that complements your measurements and not that squeezes you. Tight waistband pants with shirts, making efforts to hide the bulge, does more harm than good. It draws uninvited attention to some more areas that may not be a pleasant site for many. Go for personalized sizing and size adjustments so that the dress lies well on the person, attracting attention at the right places.

Color Choice
Though blue and white are professional men color, trying your luck with other light, subtle pastel colors may add right color to your attire. A little variety of color may provide you with flexibility of mix matching different combinations and try vast range of clothing. However, don't go too colorful, there should be an evident difference between a man and a clown.

Cloth Material
Natural fibers including wool and cotton are taking over the man-made fabrics, which were once the charm of every fashion show. Nylon is totally out, replaced by crisp and tidy cotton shirts that give a smarter look and retain its charm and the shape for quite long. Washable crease and stain resistant pants are swiping the market in a wave. The convenience and time saving that these pants offer, are what men of today strive for.

Styles of Shirts
Tailored sleek shirts are the most in thing for the sophisticated professional and formal look. For those looking for a casual out-treat, baggier shirts may just do wonders. If tie is a part of the attire, the collar size should be kept small. Sleeves showing-off from the jacket sleeves and ornate with cuff-links may give that added classy touch to your look.

Colors, Lengths and Cuts
Even if you love a long tweed jacket, consider your height when opting for such a big size. Length may reflect your personal choice, tweaking your choice depending on what is in the fashion or what may suit you may work great. Try out dark colored pants with soft colors may look trendy and chic.

Accessories
Trust me, this is one area where you do not need to compete with women, I mean in terms of the quantity of it. Accessories should complement and blend with your attire, overdoing may take away the fashionable look and make you look ridiculous. Whatever stylish trend you opt for, walk with comfort and confidence and this may add a pinch of outstanding class to your fashionable and trendy attire.
